Do you have a Reproductive and Sexual Health concern or question, or are you just due for a check- up?
Everyone’s Reproductive & Sexual Health is an important part of their overall health and well-being. Many people find it daunting to discuss matters that they may feel are very private, and for this reason, unfortunately, our Reproductive and Sexual Health is often neglected compared to other elements of our health.
At Edgeworth Family Practice, we feel passionate about change and offer a safe, confidential and judgement-free space for you to discuss any concerns or to ask any questions you may have.
We welcome you to book with our Reproductive & Sexual Health Nurse, Amy, for any of the following:
- Routine STI screening
- Testing/treatment after recent exposure to an STI
- Any strange symptoms that may have presented: lumps, bumps, itches, discharge, soreness
- Menopausal and peri-menopausal symptoms
- Chats about contraception
- Free condoms under the Freedom Condom Card program
- Discussions about sexual issues or relationships
- Domestic and family violence, or sexual assault
- Unplanned pregnancies, including counselling and/or assistance with termination of pregnancy
- Pre-pregnancy planning
- Any other questions or concerns you may have
Making the decision to speak with someone about our bodies can be daunting however, Amy feels strongly that the topic of ‘sexual health’ should be valued rather than uncomfortable. All bodies are unique, and Amy believes the care and advice you receive should be just as unique and tailored especially to each person.
If you have any questions about our Reproductive & Sexual Health clinic, you can phone the Practice on 49530966. Appointments can be booked over the phone or online through our website or the HOTDOC app.
If you are a new patient or have not seen Amy for 12 months or more, please book the long appointment.
