SERVICES

Childrens Health

Parenting a child is a new experience, and there is no such thing as a “silly question” in learning the boundaries of what is safe or unsafe for your child.

We aim to provide practical advice in a nurturing setting. Developmental problems of any kind must be identified as early as possible to enable effective intervention, as children’s “early years” can make the most impact.

All our Doctors and Nurses at EFP have a specific interest in Children’s Health and are experienced in assessing, diagnosing, and managing children’s health issues.

We provide:

  • Baby checks, including 2 weeks post-natal
  • Immunisation, including catch-up vaccinations
  • Mental health checks
  • Identifying developmental issues
  • Nutritional advice
  • Puberty issues
  • Referral to a paediatrician for complex conditions
  • Bulk-billed Mother + Baby Clinic

At EFP, children under 9 who are unwell are seen the same day if their health needs are urgent. If your child is older, we will still assist you by having one of our Practice Nurses triage to determine the best course of action.

When making an appointment for your child, please let the reception staff know if your child is very unwell.
